Photoshop techniques used for the image:
Newspaper: Used perspective transform tool
Dodge and Burn Tool (Shadows, using a large brush) to darken the image (increases the glow from the light of the door and darken the shadow)
Smoke Overlay (layer effect screen and opacity 72%)
Cracked glass (layer effect Normal)
Bullet Holes in the wall (Layer effect Colour Burn)
Text:
Title Font 28 Days Later install your font and then use it with a Text FX (Bevel and Emboss)
Tagline has a layer effect Difference
